Kaziranga National Park

Kaziranga National Park Overview

Kazirnga National Park is a World Heritage Site, located in the Golghat area of Assam. It is believed the sanctuary is home to around 65% of one-horned rhinoceroses in the world. The sanctuary is not only a tiger reserve in India but also the home of an elephant breeding farm. Travelers to the National Park can see tigers, elephants, rhinoceroses, and deer. Climate of  Kazriranga National Park 

The north-east sanctuary Kazirnga experiences three main seasons of India: monsoon, summer, and winter. Monsoon season is June to September; July and August count heavy rainfalls. Travelers should avoid visiting the park during monsoon season. March to May is the summer season for Kaziranga National Park, where animals love to stay near water bodies during the summer. There is a winter season from November to February for this wild sanctuary. Average temperature for winter is 5 degrees to 26 degrees Celsius. We as humans need to help and save our environment. Tourists activities in the Kaziranga National Park

The primary object of visiting the national park is bird watching and closely observing the animal lives. Tourists can visit the park with a professional/trained tour guide in jeep or by elephant. Few activities are prohibited, like hiking in the park. To avoid direct conflict between humans and wildlife, hiking is not permitted. For a comfortable wildlife viewing, there are a few observation towers located in the park. A traveler can contact us or a local guide for observation tower locations and timing. Kaziranga National Park remains closed every year during monsoon June to October. Hence, travelers should not book their tickets in the monsoon season.

How to reach Kaziranga National Park

There are a number of buses available from Guwahati, Tezpur, and other parts of Assam. All these buses stop at the main gate of the National Park. For flight options Jorhat and Tezpur are the nearest airports for Kaziranga National Park. An international traveler can book tickets to Guwahati International Airport. A domestic traveler from India can book train tickets to Dimapur. Dimapur is around 150 km from the National Park. To visit inside the park, a Jeep Safari is available on pre-booking.

Day wise Schedule for Kaziranga National Park

Day 1: Guwahati-Kaziranga National Park (190 KM/04 hrs)

Once you arrive at Guwahati airport, meet and greet by us. Later, we drive to Kaziranga National Park. On the way, you’ll be stopping at a good restaurant for lunch and snacks. After a long drive, reach the hotel and get checked in at the hotel. It is time to relax and do some of your own activities. You can watch television or enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and stay overnight.

Day 2: Kaziranga National Park 

The day starts with an early morning rise. Please have a cup of tea or coffee and explore the jungle by elephant ride. After 2-3 hours of jungle viewing, return to the hotel. Have breakfast and relax in the room. There is a Jeep Safari ride scheduled in the afternoon. It is always a good experience to visit Kaziranga National Park by Jeep. You may see the Great Indian One-horned Rhinoceros during the Jeep Safari tour. Other famous animals that you see are tigers, deer, and different wild animals. After completing the Jeep Safari ride, you will return to the hotel. Evening, have lip-smacking meals and stay overnight at National Park.

Day 3: National Park – Guwahati

Get up in the morning and have your breakfast at the hotel. It is time to pack your bag and head towards Guwahati. A true wildlife tour lover never wants to leave the jungle, but the day comes when you need to go. Guwahati is located near the Brahmaputra River, and it is famous for the Holy Kamakhya Temple. After arrival at the city, get checked in at the hotel. After some refreshment, go sightseeing in Guwahati. Here you can see some famous places, like the Assam State Museum. Take a tour of Hindu Devi Kamakhya Temple, Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, etc. After sightseeing in Guwahati, return to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 4: Guwahati – Departure

This is the final day of the Kaziranga National Park Tour. After breakfast, get checked out of the hotel. Make some laziness and fun around you before you go home. Later, our representative/driver will drop you off at the airport for your onward journey.
